AboutPieter Swier studied film at Utrecht School of the Arts (HKU) in The Netherlands.
After graduating he developed an interest in analogue filmmaking. 
He works alone and is currently filming a series of documentaries and experimental films that focus on landscape, time, memory and the practice of filmmaking itself.  
For a living he messes around in one of the oldest cinema’s in Holland (Luxor Theater) where he works as Chief Technician and Projectionist with digital, 35mm, 16mm and 8mm formats.
